on the rise

From Reston, Virginia, Trevon Malave is an emerging indie artist whose music lives at the intersection of raw emotion and melodic storytelling. What first began at his lowest and loneliest point in life soon turned into a creative outlet that reforged his path. For him, songwriting became a way to process pain, purpose, and personal growth. But what started out as just an outlet quickly became a calling.

Initially rooted in rap, Trevon naturally gravitated toward a more narrative-driven R&B sound—one defined by honesty, vulnerability, and catchy, emotionally resonant melodies, where melody and emotion could carry weight beyond words alone. His sound evolved into something deeply personal.

That authenticity has clearly resonated far beyond his local circle. His breakout single “Greens” has gained unexpected momentum overseas, particularly in Ecuador, where it is continuing to grow with over 200 monthly Spotify listeners which rises daily. That response marked a turning point, revealing that vulnerability—when shared honestly—can cross borders and cultures.

Trevon’s music doesn’t chase trends—it tells stories! Each song is built to feel lived-in, reflected upon, and relatable, inviting listeners into those raw moments of struggle with clarity and quiet triumph. Rather than presenting polished perfection, he invites his fans into the process—of flaws, doubts, and all. Allowing each track to function as a chapter in life, capturing where he was mentally and emotionally at the time of writing.

As his sound continues to mature, Trevon is positioning himself as an artist driven by truth over trends, while crafting emotionally grounded R&B that speaks to listeners who value substance, storytelling, and genuine connection.
